Leslie Elmore grew up on the classics - ballet, tap, and jazz - but finally found the love of her life in modern dance at the age of 14. She then participated in a modern dance troupe for five years until she went to college to study anthropology and international science. Reigniting her passion for modern dance and performance, she learned poi and isolation hoop and lit her props on fire after a year of study. Since then she has codirected or directed several longformat performances with DC based troupe Revolutionary Motion, including three Conclave performances as Burning Man. While providing support for RevMo, she currently directs an all female fire performance troupe, Pyroxotic, who aims to bring fierce yet feminine characters to the stages of east coast festivals.
